Eject Button
If you are using a laptop and sometime you tend to press the button on your CDROM just to eject. Wouldn't it be easy if there is a button on your desktop for easy ejecting.
Here is how to create your own eject button using KDE environment.
Right Click on your kickoff button > Menu editor
Pops up your KDE Menu Editor.
Go to any folder for your CD Eject launcher be placed. I placed it under Lost&Found. Press the new item button (or right click>new item).
Create a name of your desire. I inserted ejectCD as my launcher's name.
Choose your icon and make sure enable launch feedback and place in system tray is ticked. Go to the next tab, Advanced, ticked run in terminal and insert below command:
sudo eject cdromMake sure sudo is avaliable without password prompt else everytime you want to eject come a password prompt box. Save.
Now to place at your taskbar, drag your icon on the kickoff menu to the taskbar. There you have it. An eject button.
